Sea Legs

Jenn and I decided to skip out of town for a few nights in Monterey. We rolled into town Tuesday afternoon around 3:30 and by 4:30 we were enjoying a beer and a Kings game at Peter B's.

It was a cool but calm night, but certainly warmer than back home in the foothills.

The next morning we took a walk around town. We saw this Volkswagen single cab and I am in love.

Later we rode south along the coast.

It was a beautiful day.

We had a wheelie good time.

That evening we visited the aquarium right before closing.

We were approached by the staff and invited to go up top and feed the fish in the kelp forest exhibit.

It was a really cool experience. Membership has its privileges.

The next day we again rode south along the coast, but went a little farther.

We saw our egret friend again.

That afternoon we enjoyed a well earned beer at Fieldwork.

The next morning we did a short ride north on the bike trail before checking out.

By 5 p.m. on Friday we were back home unloading our stuff.

A quick trip but as always it was nice to take a break.
